Next Stop: Morocco The agreement will cover costs pertaining to the project's infrastructure, architecture and maintenance between the national train services of both countries. Moroccan Minister of Equipment and Transport Karim Ghellab, who signed the agreement for Morocco, said that the agreement highlights the strength of French-Moroccan ties. The speed of the hi-tech train will reach up to 320 km/h, the minister added. Ghellab indicated that the agreement is an extension of a protocol of understanding between the two countries, signed during the French president's visit to Morocco two years ago. He also said that the move will limit railway accidents and is a more environmentally friendly option.
