Agriculture Minister Gerry Ritz completed a successful trade mission to Morocco in which he discussed the mutual benefits of a Canada-Morocco free trade agreement (FTA), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on agricultural co-operation and promoted Canada as a leading supplier of high-quality durum wheat, pulses and dairy genetics.

Speaker of the Lower House of the Parliament Abdel Karim Dughmi on Thursday met with Moroccan Ambassador to Jordan Al Hassan Abdel Khaliq, who extended an invitation from the speaker of the Moroccan Parliament to Dughmi to visit Morocco.
During the meeting, Dughmi and the Moroccan ambassador discussed bilateral ties and means to enhance them, especially in parliamentary fields.
