Share Morocco Newsline With A Friend
After the success of the Business Party 1 in Casablanca, Maroc Connexion has organised a similar networking event in Paris: Business Party 2, which has been hosted by the moroccan restaurant « La table marocaine ».
The Business Party's total receipts were about 20 000 dhms (1900 EUR). The main purpose of the event was : gathering moroccan brains, students and recent graduates for the most part, to share their knowledge and experiences.
More than 70 people attended the event. Guests have been sat with consideration to their sector, and were globally interested in job opportunities, partnerships, appointment setting or simply meeting new people.
Moroccan head-hunters from the prestigious recruiting company Alexander Hughes were present, and set up constructive discussions with the participants.
Nearly all industries have been represented. Finance with 24%, IT 18%, Marketing 16% and consulting 9%. Finance and IT services are by far the most preferred within the moroccan community. On the other hand, creative industries (arts, architecture, media...), events management and law were underrepresented.
At least half the guests hold a postgraduate degree from universities, business schools or engineering schools.
This Business Party aims at building a neworking framework that could allow moroccans all over the world to exchange their ideas and experiences, share opportunities and help develop the community and mother country.
Mehdi Zerouali, founder member and chairman of Maroc Connexion argued that « through this events, MC aims in gathering moroccan stuents, professionals and global decision makers to encounter each other and extend their network within a very convivial atmosphère »
Upcoming events will be soon set up in Dubai, Boston, London and Montréal.
