The prestigious journal, Arab Media & Society, has an extremely interesting article on a little know episode in the history of Fez. The article "Politics by Other Screens" is by Elizabeth F. Thompson, associate professor of history at the University of Virginia, and author of Colonial Citizens: Republican Rights, Paternal Privilege and Gender in French Syria and Lebanon (2000). Elizabeth Thompson is currently completing two book manuscripts, “Cinema and the Politics of Late Colonialism” and “Seeking Justice in the Middle East.” Here is an edited extract. Rabat does not want to stop Moroccans living in the Netherlands integrating into Dutch society, Morocco's Foreign Minister Taieb Fassi Fihri told his Dutch counterpart Maxime Verhagen, who is on a visit to Morocco. Fihri and Verhagen discussed Rabat's influence on imams working in the Netherlands and Fihri called on Moroccans living there to integrate fully into Dutch society, Radio Netherlands reported on Tuesday.

The Business Party's total receipts were about 20 000 dhms (1900 EUR). The main purpose of the event was : gathering moroccan brains, students and recent graduates for the most part, to share their knowledge and experiences.
