The Moroccan agency for agricultural development (ADA) is working out a strategy to promote foreign investments in the food and agriculture sector, particularly made by Arab countries.

Currently Arab countries are not every active in this sector in Morocco.

The goal of the strategy is to underline the opportunities Morocco has to offer, that way drawing in investments, compensating for the decreased financial flow from Europe due to the crisis. France, Spain and Germany are the main investors in Morocco's agriculture. Over the past four years, since the launch of the 'Plan Maroc Vert', Les Echos writes, investments in the sector increased by 41% despite the negative global economic situation between 2008 and 2011.
